New York City Regional Center – Brooklyn Navy Yard Project
Over 1,600 individuals from around the world have invested in New York City Regional Center EB-5 projects. EB-5 funding is being used to assist with the redevelopment of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York City’s largest industrial park and one of the most successful urban manufacturing districts in the country. “New York City Regional Center EB-5 Funding is facilitating the construction and renovation of an environmentally sustainable industrial and manufacturing facility as well as various infrastructure improvements,” said Paul Levinsohn, a Managing Principal of NYCRC.
The redevelopment of the Brooklyn Navy Yard is part of New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s efforts to create jobs and spur economic growth. The Mayor has noted that the Brooklyn Navy Yard is an important source of jobs and economic development activity for New York City.
Significant work has occurred at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in its largest expansion in 70 years. The finance was provided jointly by the government of the City of New York, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Corporation, and capital from New York City Regional Center EB-5 investors. Large infrastructure work across the Brooklyn Navy Yard and renovation of the Yard’s facilities will create an environment for businesses to grow, expand, and create jobs.
